Wheels … and fans … falling off Eskimos wagon in sixth-straight loss

Wheels … and fans … falling off Eskimos wagon in sixth-straight loss

The wheels haven’t just fallen off on what was once a promising season for the Edmonton Eskimos, fans have also begun jumping from the bandwagon that was previously packed on the way to a 7-0 start. On Saturday, a pick six by Chris Randle handed the Eskimos their sixth-straight loss. The 37-yard interception return for a touchdown with 2:46 left in the final frame blew open what had been a tight tilt as fans began filing out of Commonwealth Stadium on the way to a 28-19 Winnipeg win. Perhaps the writing was on the wall in a first half that saw the Eskimos get off to yet another slow start on the way to an 8-0 Winnipeg lead. Especially considering Edmonton has had trouble getting out of the gates on this losing skid, having failed to lead after 15 minutes in all six games by a cumulative score of 36-10
