More taxis Council amended the Vehicle for Hire Bylaw to release 100 new taxi licences in the near future. This should improve taxi service by putting more taxis on the road. Alcohol at after hours events Council amended the Business Licence Bylaw to remove regulations that prevent dance events where alcohol is sold from turning into after hours events after alcohol service ends. The onus is on the promoters of these events to do more to make sure their patrons are safe.
